Prayer on the Third Sunday after Trinity

Lord God, heavenly Father!  We are, sadly, like wandering sheep; we have allowed ourselves to

be led astray from the right way by Satan and our sinful flesh.  But we pray: be gracious, forgive

all our sins for the sake of Your Son Christ Jesus, and awaken our hearts by Your Holy Spirit, so

that we hold firmly to Your Word, remain in the fold of Your Christian Church in true

repentance and faith until our end, and finally come to everlasting blessedness.  Amen.
