Prayer on the 7th Sunday after Trinity…from Ev. Luth. Gebets-Schatz

105.  Prayer on the Seventh Sunday after Trinity

Lord God, heavenly Father, You Who, through Your Son, richly fed four thousand men in the wilderness, not counting women and children, with only seven loaves of bread and a few little fish: we pray You, be near us with Your blessing and grace, and protect us from avarice and the cares of this life, that we seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, and in all that we need in body and soul graciously mark Your mild, fatherly kindness; through Christ our Lord.  Amen.  .Johannes Eichorn (1511-1564)
